I think the article does a good job of addressing the initial steps to physical fitness. Diet, however also plays a critical role. After watching America's Killer Diet special, my belief that the Food Administration in this country does need to provide greater oversight in development of nutritional options was confirmed.

There is a hypocrisy that exists in our nation. One that appears to promote being health conscious and health food options, but one that simultaneously increases the burden on the consumer by offering healthy (yes), but cost prohibitive choices. During these economic times and for at least the previous decade, it has not only been more convenient to eat fast or "junk food"; it has been more economical. I am constantly faced with this dilemma while shopping for healthy food options and I am in an upper-middle class income group. This hypocrisy automatically further disadvantages persons in lower socio-economic statuses from availing themselves of the healthier food choices, which would also help to decrease the rampant health issues present among this particular population.

Kellogg, Kraft and others in the food industry need to find a way to offer affordable healthy food options; options at similar prices points as their less healthy counterparts. Until the Food Administration or some branch of government addresses this injustice, their efforts at promoting healthier options are really just lip service to an issue that is crippling the health of our nation.

What has worked for me in staying relatively fit is a mixture of indoor (gym) and outdoor activities (bike rides and hikes). The gym can get boring very quick when it comes to cardio workouts. I use a mixture of treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike and group exercise to mix up each workout week. There are plenty of group exercises that are fun for example salsa, hip hop and advanced step classes since they all involve creating a routine that exercises both the body and the mind. I by far am not a dancer but it's a fun challenge anyway. The main goal is to do something fun and not be in a repetitive rut.

As for food I've incorporated a lot more wheat based products (pasta, bread) into my diet along with more green leafy vegetables (spinach). I'm also trying to eat less meat (mainly beef).

What motivates me is seeing women in my group classes who are in their 40's and 50's outlasting me sometimes! Plus I assumed these ladies were in their 30's (like me) only to find out one of them had a 26 year old son! Health is the fountain of youth that no cream or makeup can ever create.

Is there a cure for asthma let alone also supposedly upcoming cure for AIDS? An individual that I am chatting with online is passing himself off as a biochemist that has come up with these discoveries.

It's very interesting that Rachel Ray was involved, yet didn't talk about MonaVie, which was featured on her show as their favorite "Super Drink". Ads are popping up all over the internet linking her name with Acai weight loss.

MonaVie seems to be popping up everywhere. People in my office are selling it, there are invitations to tastings posted at the mailbox in my apartment.

Is there any truth to the sales hype that it cures diabetes, helps control cholesterol, increases memory, and helps with weight loss?
