I was taking a staten drug. (semistaten) My muscles started hurt very badly and I felt very weak. I have had open heart surgery and a pace maker put in slmost two years ago. The open heart surgery was to fixmy valve. If this staten hurt this badly would other statens do the same. I have talked to several people that takes semistaten and they all said they felt the way I felt, but not as badly as I did. I told My Dr. I went off of them but I have not seen him yet. Not until next year. My husband was taking the same type of drug and he felt the same and so is my son. My husband went off of them but my son has not yet. The V. A. Dr. does not want to take him off of yet. Niether of these two have heart problems.

CRP is a good determinant to ascertain our risk for heart diseases. With this test the person is caution to change lifestyle early on even without experiencing the symptoms of heart diseases such as HPN or Angina. But, whether our CRP is tested or not we should develop a healthy lifestyle now since most of the patients we encounter in the area now are young adults related to heart diseases. An ounce of prevention is more important than a pound of cure.
